January 14, 2003 - Fortune.com - Forget for a few paragraphs all the cool new gizmos and gadgets at last week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. For me, the highlight of CES was getting a personal training session on the Segway Human Transporter from Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon.com. Bezos is the rare CEO who can see humor in complicated situations. He laughs easily (and loudly). Even so, Bezos seemed just a wee bit tense during my training session on his personal $5,000 Segway.
