View Full Version : What Components are interchangeable?

I Have 2 Gen 1 machines. One works fine the other is displaying Full Red Circle with Wrench.

I would like to trouble shoot by exchanging working parts between the units to determine which component(s) are causing problems.

Here is the question, which parts must be exchanged in combination and which are independent.

I am aware that the keys are matched to some other component and you can't just swap handles from one unit to another. so here are the specifics:

Can a front control board be swapped with the rear control board on the same unit?

Can a front control board be swapped with the Front control board on a different unit? What about the rear control board unit to unit?

Can the balance sensor (yellow box) be swapped between units?

Can the base of the handle (I think this is the Charger) be swapped between units.

can the right and left motor and gear box assemblies be swapped Left/Right on the same or different units.

Any other combinations that would or would not work.

can I cause irreversible damage by swapping parts around?
Thanks in advance
tom

Tom

Did anybody ever respond in any way to your questions? Obviously no response here yet. I’m seeking much the same info. I spoke with a sevice center today that said they can’t get parts now. Seems that if we users don’t start sharing knowledge of interchangeable parts and repair tips... we are screwed!

Hi

These parts can readily be changed between machines:
CSB ( charger )
Handlebar ( there are 2 types and they must match with CSB connectors )
Batteries ( must be a matching pair )
Gearboxes & Wheels & fenders

These parts cannot be readily changed:
Keys ( must be matched to the control boards )
Boards ( must be a matching pair )

I understand that machines ( platforms ) that display a full circle & red wrench and entirely NOT repairable now.
