The cat may be well and truly out of the bag now but anyone who wants to know more about the Segway Human Transporter (also known as SHT or 'Ginger' or 'IT') now has another option - www.segwaychat.com.

Who says Ginger isn't Segway?

The site covers the invention and its creator, Dean Kamen, and stands alongside the official www.segway.com website.

SegwayChat.com also promotes an organisation called FIRST - For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology - www.USFIRST.org.

SegwayChat.com, as its name implies, is a forum for discussion about the transporter, which looks a little like a vertical, parallel-wheeled scooter, and a place to find "updates on state sidewalk legislation status", which is important if SHTs are ever to become widely used in the US.
