Attempt to Use My Segway as a Steadicam
It's a bit shakey because my hall is narrow, so I was concerned about bumping into my walls, but here's a first go of it

I admire your inquisitive and creative spirit! Nice camera! I looked up its specs. Impressive. I'm sure you'll put it to a lot of good use.
I had posted something in another earlier thread about the Steadicam Merlin, their lower-priced unit. I think it can handle up to 7 lbs, and your camera is 6+. Besides hand-holding it by its own vertical handle, you can use it in conjunction with an articulated arm and vest, which gives you a greater range of movement. Looking forward to you sharing future projects using your equipment and your creativity!

Nice video. I was pleased to see a distinct lack of buses!
I like the steady cam idea, with the smooth pans, but would you not have a great deal more trouble with that outside, where I can only presume a far less level drive surface? I did not notice, but were there any area rugs that you were gliding over? It might be a controllable 1/2 inch climb and drop to practice on...

Anyway, no, I didn't go over any rugs, and yes I look forward to trying this again outdoors. |

If you feel like it sometime, I'd be very interested to hear your "Segway Story": a little (or a lot) about yourself, how you got interested in the machine, and what sorts of things you plan to do with it both personally and professionally.

Answer here, please. I'm sure more than a few of us would be interested.
