Batteries for E167-Wanted
Hello Guys, This is my first time posting here, so HELOOOO!!!! I recently purchased the E167 Segway with the red mode button and very excited on that baby! However it came with the Nmhs (not sure how to spell it) batteries. There is nothing wrong with them, certainly not new, probably 7-8 miles duration best guess. I'm interested on purchasing a pair of Lion batteries since it can give more miles per charge. I cant believe how pricey this batteries are, they are almost the same price I paid for the unit. Anyway if anyone has some used ones that hold good miles and are willing to sell for a reasonable price ( sure that is subjective), please PM me if you can
Or if anyone know any places that sell them for low price! Thanks in advance to All!!! |

Make sure the machine is upgraded
To accept LiIons, if it is not then it will not accept them.
You may be better off buying a set of the upgraded NIMH's from MTO Or at least contact him and talk about if they will work.

thanks for the reply. The Segway has the current Software and it is compatible with the Lion batteries. I'm just having trouble finding something I can afford!

Used Battery Purchase
Another option if you find used Lithium batteries is to make sure you can have them tested and return them if they are not as advertised.
I can test them in a laboratory setting and give you an accurate estimate of their condition. These are 5.2 Ah batteries and Segway says they will give you up to 24 miles. Therefore if the battery you are thinking about purchasing tests at 1.3 Ah you will get in the range of 6 miles (max) This battery will make nice green lights and start the machine but I wouldn't pay much for it. I have seen batteries sold for a lot of money that tested at 1.3 Ah. Too bad. Better to know that up front. Please let me help you. Marty Doc Marty 714 757-9799 |

Thanks Doc Marty, I just purchased supposedly good working lion Batteries
used from a damaged XT on Ebay. I paid 600$ plus 20$ shipping, I wont know how good they are until I get them. However I'll give you a call if something looks strange! |
