I2 Battery is Dead
After leaving my I2 uncharged for the winter, I tried to power it up for the spring and the rear battery is not working. I prefer not to spend $899 for a new battery. Thoughts?

Some batteries can be revived.
Hi
Some batteries can be revived from this condition. I will check if there is one of our units nearby to you. Michael www.dgbint.com |

We have 3 X2's and like you, the price of new batteries has always been a big turn off. I've upgraded all 6 of our batteries over the years without ever spending the price of a new or rebuilt battery. When I find good used ones for a reasonable price (usually on eBay) I buy them and eventually I sell the older ones I have - I sold a pair of older batteries to a forum member here and he reports they still have 20 miles of range, even though they are more than 10 years old I've bought two pairs of 2014 batteries and paid less than $450 per battery. I've also bought a slightly older pair for $250 to $300 each and all give excellent range If you closely watch the eBay listings for awhile, I think you could pick up a good serviceable battery for $300 or maybe even a bit less. I would be looking for one of about the same vintage as the other one on your machine - If it's a 2008 or a 2010 battery, no need to buy a used one any newer than that. Just remember to plug your machine in at least once a month when you have it stored Don |

I2 Battery is Dead
I’ve read it’s best to remove the batteries and put them on a charger periodically if you aren’t using your Segway i2 or X2 for a very long time.
But, is it better to leave the Segway plugged in or unplug it for short periods of time if you aren’t using your Segway for months? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
