Ninebot elite BMS replacement?
Hi,
I searched for ages trying to find a proper replacement battery for my wife's ninebot elite which we purchased new in Chengdu China in April 2016. The battery didn't even have all that many cycles, but it wouldn't come up anymore. I got LG batteries from Hong Kong for $260 delivered which I thought was a lot, but no choice as locally the store wanted $11/each which would have been over 700. I carefully cataloged every connection, and double and triple checked polarity before assembly. Tape was a very easy way to prevent accidental shorts, and having the whole assembly sitting on a towel also helped a lot. Unfortunately, the left bank BMS wouldn't let the battery come online. The nose test showed that this BMS was bad. For now, I have it bypassed. The ninebot comes up and rides fine. Is there anywhere to get this part anymore? Or will I just need to build another one? I'm so unimpressed that they put 3 year old batteries into a new ninebot. Chumbly |

BMS Replacement for Elite PTR
There is a guy in the Russian Federation selling them for $75 on ebay.
He also has been selling rebuilds and supposedly new (I question how new). The BMSs would probably be OK, I would offer him less. Keith |
