Segway X2 SE making weird noises. Normal?
I have a new to me 2014 Segway X2 SE with around 80 miles on it. The gearbox is fairly noisy and was wondering if this is normal? When riding on slightly uneven surfaces like a sidewalk or if there is a small dip I can hear the gearbox making a distinctive clanking sound. I rode my friends x2 SE same model year and mileage and his is a lot more quiet. Once he has a second person riding on it with him the gearbox starts to make the same noise mine does. I’m under 150 lbs so I don’t believe the weight has to do anything with it. Does anyone know what causes this? It seems as if it’s happening to sync the two wheels speed so one doesn’t spin faster than the other on things like dips or bumps or going down hills. Any opinions are welcome. Thanks!

I've seen it written that the gears are noisy to warn people you are coming. My old but low mileage i2 "groans", and it's embarrassing but normal I suppose.
