Exclamation i2 want Friggin' MudFlaps!

So, where are they?

Its wet. Its raining. People water their lawns, hose off their cars, or puke on the sidewalk...

Just rode to Santa Monica to do some Banking and now I'm covered with filth the tires sprayed on me. And I hope to God that I didn't spray anyone behind me when I passed them... Grrrr.

Why don't we have FRIGGIN' MUDFLAPS?
What is this seemingly new aversion to water that the i2 has? Water happens-- the hardware needs to deal with it.

i2 want mudflaps like the i180's had. But where would we even attach them on a gen2 machine???

If Segway works on them RIGHT NOW, we might have them by next year's Rainy Season...

They seem better than my i170 at preventing the water spray - but this is weird as the fenders look identical. What would you rather have, you mud flaps or your kick stand? I2 want my kickstand!

You may have mud on your Segway but my route is across Hyde Park in London and there are a lot of horses there, 'sharing the trail'. Guess what my Segway is covered in!!!

don't get me started...I just had to take my glide [its 2 am] back out to roll thru grass to get as much dog poo as possible off my left tyre. WTF?!? isn't it just common courtesy to clean up after your dogs...its your choice to have a dog [I have 3]..................come on people

Part of the route is used by the Queen's Guard going to Buckingham Palace. On the road they are followed by a mechanical sweeper/ vacuum cleaning machine
but on the bits of the route we share, no such luck. Without going into too many details, horses being herbivivors the 'product' is not nearly as bad as dogs'...

Cool

We took our gen1 machine through an open range zoo here in Australia.

We were pleased to see that kangaroo droppings so not seem to stick to the tires. That is a great rubber compound.

So, Segway Tours in African Wildlife Areas would probably be a bad idea...

I agree the GenII fenders suck as "fenders" & the 180 was little better.

The best for pure function were the original 167 fenders. Come to think of it the 167 wheels were also easier to fill with air.

Progress? No, I would say "form over function".

Just my .02

Regards,
Alan
