Default Segway i2 stopped working...

I bought my segway used some months ago. I absolutley love it and use it daily.

The other day is started acting up... When I would park it would give a warning shake and then shutdown. I could immediately restart it and continue. But now when I start it as soon as I begin a ride it warns - shakes and shuts down. Batteries are fully charged... I know that this is not much information but was just wondering from those who have more experience what this might point to... perhaps a motor failure.

You are not giving us much to go on. From what you say, it seems that that your problems seem to be happening at start or stop. Perhaps your problem deals with the sensors under the mats. They let the machine know when you are standing on it, or getting off.

(The mats come off fairly easily, and often build up dirt and debris under them)

Good luck.

The error codes and operating condition would help.

Please tell us, step-by-step, in great detail, exactly what happens after you disconnect the power cord and press the power button (twice) on the infokey. Include what lights on the base come on, in what sequence, what the final light(s) are, when you step up with which foot, when it starts shaking, etc. etc. including what sounds you hear.

Agreed, the error code shown on the infokey at the point of shutdown would be the most informative aid.

Although we do need the error code, there's a pretty good chance you will have to send it back to the factory, and the code will only let us tell you why.

There is a small chance it could turn out to be something you can fix (like the batteries), but the majority of error codes tend to have the same result: "If it persists, it's back to the factory for you."
