Info Key can't find the Segway?
Re:i2
Hi - I have a couple of segways where the info key has a difficult time finding the segway to turn it on. I've even put the key next to the engine, sometimes this works, today it didn't. How do I fix this problem? |

A fresh battery in your InfoKey might help. Failing this, could it be a sign of a failing radioboard or InfoKey? Most Segways come with 2 InfoKeys - try them both with brand new batteries and compare the results.

Drop a battery or two . . .
A fix, not a quick one though a fix nonetheless, is to drop a battery or two (it reboots the base) and then re-try the InfoKey.
I've found that sometimes the InfoKey and Segway Base communications "lock each other out" for reasons beyond my knowledge but the battery drop re-establishes the wireless communication when the base reboots. Also, my experience is that using BOTH InfoKeys at once within a short distance may "confuse" the Segway so it doesn't know which InfoKey is which. Dropping a battery or two (2) allows an InfoKey to "re-sync" with the base. Not an expert or a tech, just a Glider trying to help out. Good luck. |
