Default Checking/filling air in tires on a Segway i2

Just wondering how people check and fill their tires on the Segway i2?

I take take mine to the lawn, lay it on it’s side, then pick up the handlebars and walk around the Segway until I can see the air valve on the bottom tire. Then I flip it over and put it on it’s other side and walk around again until I can see the valve on the other tire. I have to stop every few inches and the look to see if the valve is showing yet.

Am I doing things the hard way? I don’t ride as often as I’d like because checking the pressure is such a pain. I must be doing it the hard way.

Anyone have an easier method?

Appreciate your help.

That's the way I do it too. I put a small crayon mark on the outside of the tire to mark the valve. Then when I flip it on it's side I put the mark on the bottom so I know about where the valve is.

I use a 3/8" I.D. x 2 1/2" long piece of vinyl tubing slipped over the valve cap to unscrew and install it. You may need to pinch it tight to get the cap to move but then friction holds it to unscrew the rest of the way.

I use three Slime brand metal valve extensions held together with thread locker to check pressure and inflate the tires.

I appreciate the tips.

How often do you check your tire pressure?

I check them about once a month, and they're due again.
Each time I use it I look at the bulge of the sidewall while standing still to see if it looks normal.

What type of motorcycle is that on your profile picture? Looks like a Harley Electra Glide.

Looks good. I use to have a 2004 Road Glide that I rode to Milwaukee and Sturgis a few times but sold it a couple years ago.
