csb connectors
Make sure the csb connectors are in the proper place , as they are interchangeable. They do not cross each other, but plug them in along the same side they exit the base.

if thoes two cables from CSB to CU`s got swapped, is going into "security stop failure" becouse ibutton goes to the second half of the BSA wich is not rocognizing programmed ibutton.
if keep like this, unplug BSA and replug 180dgr, and will start again. because ibutton will match again with ibutton. HEHE, please check. like i allready point this issue in further talks. |

TILT the handlebar on about a 45 degree angle and try and start it. See if you get a different signal at that angle

i just checked signals on handlebar conections.
here is picture attached: and left connector is the one from rear CU, right connector is the one from front CU wich also deals with ibutton. the left connector (rear CU), from left to right: 1) brown + brown = digital GND 2) void(free) + orange = FREE 3) gray + blue = +5.8Vcc as power supply for UI 4) yellow + green = CAN 5) blue + red = CAN 6) orange +white = Power ON (courent sensitive starting with 66mA to GND) same thing in the right connector, but diferent collors. any wire i disconenect from any of thoes XT will not start with the green and specific sound like good working. (i must remind for all who dont read from beginning of topic, after this green display, commes the red blincking light with all the segment of the entire circle shape with the wrentch in the righ side). in the moment when display is green and motors are sonds with the white noise, if XT is lifted from floor, with wheels free, if i rotate one wheel manualy, the other wheel will rotate in negative sense of rotation. |

Of course, if you are convinced that the fault is not in the handlebar and not in the connections to the platform, then clearly the fault is in the platform. Of course, you know that. Please let us know what you find. |

dale, i dont have another parts prom this gen1. otherwise i`d swap them.
from what i can do here, it was necesarly to check handlebar to exclude it. but after all checks, i think that i need one CU board for a check. anyhow only one is faulty, not booth. |

I thought you swapped the CU boards, with no change in symptoms. Why do you think (only) one is faulty? |

i beleive so, cannot be booth. only if someone put in this platform his collection of defective CU`s.
it is posible that my CU`s dont accept Rev.AF of lithion batteries? i see someone is selling on ebay.de a set of batteries, defectve of course, but they are Rev.AB is posible that till on date, i mean software version of that date, does not accept any revison of lithium batteries ? i mean Lithiun not NiMh. and another one, does XT accept from the begining lithium ones without software upgrade? Rev.AB and Rev.AF are same chemistry, but equiped with very diferent electronics. i have one old lithium i dont remember right now wich revision is, but electronics is a little ancient that Rev.AF, is not with FPGA chip from XILINX, is with some early tech. |

Don't ignore that possibility. It can even happen by accident

I'm positive that all "production" XTs came with lithium batteries. |
