What is old is new again...
The Concord Monitor ran a piece on Friday reliving the birth of the Segway.
In the article, they show a Segway prototype "Concept #1 (C1)" circa 1999. http://www.concordmonitor.com/The-Se...eiled-11008026 I hadn't made the connection before...but the control shaft on that machine looks a lot like the leansteer on the Segway i2 SE. I bet the turning features were on the handlebar back then though. Anyway, it was cool to revisit a bit of history. Chris |
