i2 won't start up
Hello there...
Got myself the next problem. While gliding my Segway made the wellknown prrrrrrttt noise and shut off. Now she won't start up anymore. When i press te start button on de infokey you can see they connect, then one (of the 5) red light blinks up and nothing happens. The info key gives no error code. Anyone an idea what happend or how to fix it? Thnx, Bart |

Hey Bart,
When you plug in your Segway to charge, do both charging lights light up green? If not, you may have a battery problem. Try taking both of the batteries off the Segway and waiting for an hour or so. Then, put them back on and try starting up the machine. Watch for an error code if the Segway does not start up right after putting the batteries back on. I used this method to troubleshoot my i2 and found out that the data connecters on the batteries weren't making a good connection. After tightening and cleaning the connectors, my i2 has run perfectly since. Good luck! |

Yes, it sounds kind of like the batteries are too dead to start. Also, you do know that you must unplug the segway before you can start it... Otherwise you get an alarm and it shuts off again, I think...
The key would be what the two lights do when plugged in, not so much the 5, to determine the battery charge. Do they go solid green when you plug in, then start to blink after hours?
