Default Segway Site Lists Rental Locations

The Segway site now lists locations that offer rentals. It has a map of the US and is color coded for, Purchase Only, Rental Only, and Purchase and Rental for every state. It looks like Texas has a new dealer for sales. California, Florida, and Utah are listed for rentals. Alaska, Hawaii, and Illinois are listed as rentals coming soon. I certainly hope all of the rental operations conduct business responsibly.

I bet the Hawaii one is the guy we hooked up with at Ala Moana park ... guided segway tours.

Aloha,
Sam

That is exactly what I was thinking Sam. Sorry for posting old news everyone. I always go straight to the main forum and didn't know about the rental section. Thanks mods for moving the post. Still keeping my fingers crossed on the whole rental situation.

While gliding in Hawaii Kai today I saw two people gliding !
This is the first time I have seen other gliders while out and about. We stopped to talk. It turns out it is one of the partners of the rental operation about to start up in Waikiki and one of his friends. They purchased 10 Segways for their operation. They will have a Kiosk outside at ANA Kalakaua Center and bring them up out of the parking lot. He said they would be starting up operations in a few weeks. They do seem to share the hope that the Segway is successful and that everyone will act responsibly.

The rental operation started up in Waikiki. It looks like $20 for a 20 minute intro then $45 per hour.

Randy
