Default Safe Text

This from London's Daily Mail:
"Brick Lane made Britain's first 'Safe Text' street with padded lampposts to prevent mobile phone injuries"

What a wonderful modern age we live in.

Seeing who did the research and then applied the padding - it's an advertising stunt by a UK directory enquiries company, 118.com.

Maybe their awful TV campaign isn't working as well as they hoped!

People should just wear padding, then they'll be safe to text and walk anywhere.

Oh yes. This bodes well for those of us that think we should hold ourselves responsible for what we do...

The very concept that people not paying attention, and walking into lamp posts could ever be mitigated by anyone other than the walker is staggering...

If you walk into a lamp post 3 or more times, then you'll have to wear padding too - to protect the unprotected lamp posts from any "Post" tramatic stress disorder. LOL

This just proves that texting while you're trying to get someplace is a bad idea; and it's probably the number one reason I keep getting into pile-ups on the freeway.

I especially like how the padding stops at about shoulder height.

I'm sure it will be very effective.
