Default Pivot assembly

Has anyone reconditioned or rebuilt a pivot assembly for an i2? It seems that they could be reconditioned instead of just thrown away. I just replaced one on one of my units and I am monkeying around with the old one, trying to take it apart without destroying it. In the past, I have just thrown the old part away.

Default ould like to know if you managed to do this...

I also have an I2 that needs a new pivot sensor but i cant figure out how to open that "plastic disk" to access the sensor.
Do i need to drill it or something and rotate?

Thank you

The sensor is a sealed, precision device, and if itís not working, itís very unlikely that forcing it open will have a positive outcome. There are two sensor elements in there, and they have to agree with each other within a very small tolerance.

Itís the steering sensor, after all! Screw around with it at your own peril.

Hi Carlos, do you have an i2 or an i2 SE?

Philip?
