NYC Lifts Ban On E-Bikes!!!!
https://mashable.com/2018/04/04/elec.../#dFs.wHuqOmq4
This was pointed out to me by the nice people at Immotor Go. I haven't had time to look into it by confirming it or seeing if in includes removing a ban on Segways and e-scooters, etc. Basically all e-rideables under 20 mph except hover boards? And since the Segway MiniPro looks so much like a hoverboard, will that be an issue? I am excited about this, anxious for confirmation and to get more details. If any of you know more, please share. If not, I will return and post more details as I learn them. |

New York City 311 (@nyc311 on Twitter)
"The mayor announced the new framework to clarify the legality of Pedal-Assist Bicycles on 4/3/18; however, the new rule has not yet been implemented. Sorry for any confusion. You can view the announcement here: http://www1.nyc.gov/office-of-the-ma...ssist-bicycles " |
