Logan's Run: Life Clock Color Chart
I just tivo'd the entire Logan's Run tv series from the 70's and found this bit of trivia interesting.
Clear: 0-8 Years - White Clothes Yellow: 8-16 Years - Yellow Clothes. Green: 16-23 Years - Green Clothes Red: 23-29 Years - Red Clothes Red / Black Flashing: - One week prior to Lastday Black: 30th Birthday - Report to Carousel or Run Good show...Now if I can find Man from Atlantis!

I remember when they filmed the movie in Dallas - they used the Dallas Apparel Mart, but it's now called Dallas Market Center. Fascinating to watch. That was during my "theatre days"

Yes, same as the movie.
In the book, "deathday" was at 21.

Who always wears black while on a Segway (and everywhere else,) and now I finally figured it out. I think he must have reported or ran.

i wonder how many sci-fi shows have run with this one. there was an episode of stargate:atlantis where the team encountered a planet that had honorary suicide at 25 to maintain a shield that protected the inhabitants from the wraith.

Now, now, not every coincidence of plot device is plagiarism. If one person can think of something, certainly another person can as well. I'm nearly certain that this particular plot device has been used many times.
