Default GWB...it is not just the segway!

Thought this forum could appreciate the chuckle I had when I read the entire article from CNN.com. Our community got a lot of flack(and still do) about "W" not able to ride the segway even though it was not the Segway's fault.

Bush was going at "a pretty good speed" when he collided with the officer, who was in a security detail on the resort grounds.

The president, who was wearing a helmet, slid on the pavement, suffering scrapes on his hands and arms that were bandaged by Tubb.

McClellan declined to speculate about whether anyone was a fault in the crash.

The president's bicycle was damaged.

I dont 'chuckle' when I read about ANYONE getting hurt on any vehicle ......I see nothing funny about someone having an accident.

Its not funny, but it amazes me how "W" can do more damage on a segway then ANYONE else in the known galaxy.

Leaves me shaking my head. His antics on the Segway hurt the company "big time".

I'm not too impressed with his performance on a Bike, Segway or as Prez.

I understand the guard had to be hospitalized - at least that was what I heard on the TV as I was working on my computer in another room.

That said, I'm going to move this topic to off-topic, since it's not really about the HT, and since it looks like it's getting political.

This incident just goes to show that nothing (including the Segway) is idiot proof!

Steve/ElectraGlide,

Lighten up! He was not seriously hurt. I was merely pointing out that there is irony for us as a segway community. Hope you can appreciate it. If not, go ride your segway and smile!
