I would doubt you could find a new i2?....The SE replaced the i2 few years ago....Off top of my head not much different....The lean steer is made a bit different, and the charging port, and center hub isnt as tall....Just a bit more sleek in design......

From what I know the SE is the latest iteration or improvement of the i2 x2.

The lean steer on the SEs are more easily removed and reattached so you can more easily transport the Segway in a vehicle.

The door on the AC cord jack is hinged on the top on the SE instead of the bottom. People were breaking the hinge because the power cord rests on the AC door when it is plugged in

There are now small lights on the front and back of the SE. They are there more for others to see you rather than provide light to Glide by.

The SEs make more sound which I believe is supposed to be a safety feature for others.

I own an i2 and the only time I’ve seen an SE was when I recently rented one on a tour. The tour guide told me that he thinks the SEs have just a slightly shorter range but that’s not supposed to be the case.

There could be other design/programming improvements on the SE but I’m not aware of them.
