Gen 1 Segway Keys
I got out my old iBook G4 and got the software going for writing generation 1 Segway keys. If anyone needs any Gen 1 Segway keys copied, or speed changes, etc - I can do it for you. Digikey and Mouser both stock iButtons.

To make a key you MUST have the keycode.
In the past this was available from any one of: 1 Can be read from any working key for that Segway 2 It was on the original paperwork that accompanied the Segway. 3 Segway the company could provide it based upon the serial number ( I don't think is possible any longer ). 4 As a past dealer, we kept records of the Segway PTs we sold ( here in Australia ). We still have our records. Other dealers and ex-dealers may also. IF you have the KEYCODE there's a number of technical steps to create a key. I can assist you, and others can too. Let me know if I can assist further. Michael www.dgbint.com |

I am looking for some keys...
I just picked up some i167s, and on 1 of them I only have 1 key. Was wondering if someone was programming keys? Was wondering what it would cost to get a "set" of keys if I was to send the one I have?
Please let me know -Dennis |

Hi
I am in Australia. So it is a little impractical for me to assist you. Unless you find no other options. I could also remotely coach you, if you are comfortable with both: 1 Working with an Excel spreadsheet. 2 Purchasing some modest priced ( probably $50 region ) hardware and using a PC to write to iButton ( probably $10 a piece ) hardware.
