Default Key programming for generation 1

Hi guys,

it proved that for the two of the segways I recently bought there are no keys... (I got 3 keys but all of them were for another one)

I believe I can build a circuit to speak to existing iButtons-Keys and program them.
But I cannot find an old html page that would give me the bytes I need to put in the iButtons.
In this forum I found old links to a webpage that supposedly should calculate these bytes based on the serial number, maximum speed, and rotation speed, but this page no longer exists so I cannot find it.
I have somewhere read that this page is self contained and can also be stored localy, so if anybody has a copy of that webpage please send it to me.

You need to know the keycode for each machine.
The keycode is different to the serial number.

There were 3 ways to obtain a keynote.

1
It came with the machine.

2
Read it back from any working key for that machine.

3
From Segway.

I suspect that Segway may no longer assist you.

If you can get your keycode, I can assist you.

I could calculate the data string needed to be written to any iButton.
I could email you a spreadsheet so you can do I it yourself.
I could make keys for you.

Oh, that's terrible news!!

I have two almost unused segways gen1 sitting there without any key...
I was hoping to rebuild the key by using the serial number.
There are no documents with them unfortunately.
I have 3 keys for another Segway P133 which work as expected. Can this code be modified using the serial numbers of the other segways?
What hopes are there now?

Can you please send me that excel file you are talking about?
I am planning to make an 1-wire reader/writer with my arduino.

Answer to Thomas:

I have already downloaded this, but I'm using Linux so I haven't run it yet. Anyway it requires some dlls for the driver of the 1wire bus programmer.

I'm talking about an old html there used to be according to references in the forum. No link of these references is active anymore...

We used to be the Australian Segway importer.
We kept keycode records for each machine that we sold.
Perhaps your local dealer or ex-dealer also kept records of machines they sold.
Might be worth seeking them out.

Good luck.
