Red face hi all...

I've had my Segway XT for a couple of years... have never used it much... left it plugged in... I guess that ruined the battery... It won't charge. How do I get it replaced and how much is it going to cost?

Take it to your nearest Dealer for an overhaul, maybe he or she will give you a deal on a trade in for a new X2. Sorry to hear you somehow zapped your xT, however, without a surge protector, anything is possible. Good luck and go glide!

Just as a suggestion, you might want to add your city to the location in your profile. Perhaps somebody near you will offer to swap batteries to diagnose the problem. If you are in the witness protection program, I understand.

Leaving it plugged in for long periods doesn't usually cause battery failures, unless it was at really high temperatures. Could the outlet have been switched off for a 30 day period by any chance? It could be the internal charging circuitry or connections. Have you swapped positions of the two batteries? Do both refuse to take a charge?
