Default Battery Charging Strategy

The reference manual for my i2 says the "batteries should last the equivalent of 600 to 1000 full charges." If, after riding a few miles, I still have 4 - 6 bars of charge remaining, should I plug in my Segway, or wait until the battery is closer to empty before recharging? In other words, if I don't expect to need a full charge for my next ride, should I still plug in my Segway after every ride?

Personally, I plug my i2 all the time regardless of the remaining charge.
I have an electric timer which turned off at night and charge during the day.
So, the battery is discharged automatically as I leave all the time segway into the "alarm".

Li-Ion batteries doesn't really care that much... The only thing that doesn't like the small charges, are the battery-meter, which gets out of calibration if it never gets to see a "full cycle" (Which is full charge, and then full discharge). One cycle is enough to get it back into calibration, though, so when it seems to use more or less bars then usual, give it a cycle if you want it to be precise again.

What's good to remember, though, is that they don't like charging too much... Here's a good note on long-term charging.

But that's only something you want to look at, if you have the Segway plugged in more than 12 hours at a time... Which reminds me that i should get back into my project of Charging-control-circuit, handling how long it should have power... As mine tends to be plugged in for sometimes up to 2 days (Bad weekends, for example)...

Obviously, we can't have infinite voltage, or the universe would tear itself to shreds, and we wouldn't be discussing Segways.
