Stepping on toes

And they worry about getting there toes run over by Segways. Remember that Bounder could possibly move as fast as a Segway. Big and fast but permitted everywhere......... This is why the safety argument is BS. Be Big, AMAC

There are some interesting articles on that site too. When they try to tell you that you have to limit your Segway speed to 3 MPH no matter what the conditions under which you are riding, remind them that most--if not all--power wheelchairs can go faster than that. Some even faster than your Seg... and can not legally be limited to a 3 mph speed limit.... From the wording of the law, it would seem that they would have to prove that you are less safe than any wheelchair at any speed to be an "actual risk." (not everyone will interpret it this way of course...) http://www.wheelchairjunkie.com/speedselection.html

I post there often.
As a rule they are good people, some are just terrified of self balancing. There is a lot of good info there and I enjoy the occasional banter . One other thing to remember about " Junki" is that there is a "hierarchy of disability" with some. But as a rule it's fun reading. Be Big, AMAC
