Magic Jack, phone service $20 a year
Has any one tried Magic Jack yet? It looks great a phone service for $20 a year. You cant beat the price, I was just wondering how the service is. For $40 you get a USB module that any phone plugs into and your first year comes with that. Free calls US, Canada and other parts of the world that offer the service. It also comes with voice mail and call forward. Something else that pretty cool it works on any PC or MAC with hi speed net. So if you travel with your laptop your phone goes with you and free calls back to the US from any were in the world. Or a Internet cafe with Hi speed will work too. No minutes on your cell phone. It's comes with a 30 day satisfaction guarantee or your money back. I'm trying it out to see if it's is good as they say. I'll let know how it is and if any one else knows anything please post it.

Are you aware of Skype? Video or voice calls free anywhere via VOIP (computer to computer). No extra hardware required.

I was interested in Magicjack as well. It seems a little too good to be true to me! If you do try it, however, please do post an update!

I figured I have more to gain then loss even if I don't get my money back. I don't see why they won't refund it within the 30 days. Word of mouth can be a good thing or a very bad thing. |

Who Watches Late Nite Infomercials around here.
Sounds like it is not really $20 bucks, but more like $50 bucks that first year.
Hooks up to your USB, and then you plug a normal phone into it and go from there. First, High Speed access is needed, 2nd your computer has to be on to make it work. I am sure there are a number of other options as well, as VOIP has been around for a few years now, but I bet it will start being as easy as the infomercial says it is.
