Best InfoKey Protector Ever!
I have discovered the best 'InfoKey Protector'. It is in fact a secure dock that replaces the standard dock. Your InfoKey is placed in it and secured, however it leaves all your function buttons fully accessible!! Your (expensive) InfoKey will never get knocked off again! This is a new product that will be soon available through my company. It will be available for $95 USD, but volume discounts will apply! Feel free to contact me.

This thread is from a distributor, saying he has them to sell. I don't understand your confusion.

Nearly 100 dollars seems a little steep. What is it made of?

It is not plastic! It's very well made and does what it claims to do! ( which is protect the info key)
How often in your tours does a info key get knocked off? I know with our tours it happens every third to forth tour we take. ( that is too often ) You will get more inpressed when you have it in your hands and physically see how well it's made. Thank you Mike RTG

I get the feeling that there are companies that think because Segways are expensive, their owners have expensive tastes.

First of all the tiny plastic parts for the info key from Segway inc aren't $5 and this is metal, why isn't the whole Segway not made of plastic then (it would be cheaper?)
The main components are made of metal for strength and to last,( that's why this protector is made of metal). Ok then, knowing all the prices with segways and parts where do you see the price point of this protector? This protector is aimed at tour companies that have a lot of newbies using them, having accidents to protect an expensive part. That coupled with having to replace the dock frequently adds up. With this part you no longer replace those parts that wear and your info key is safe, secure and accessible all the time. I'm happy to receive constructive criticism, but please don't just say negative stff just to have something to say.
