Your keys must match your platform ( CU boards inside the platform ).
The handlebar and CSB are just a conduit to electrically pass key info, from the handlebar port through to the CU boards. |

Need NiMH battery loan in S Calif
This 2002 HT is in superb cosmetic condition and until recently ran perfectly, but was never upgraded to Li-Ion.
Now, when plugged in, the two green lights blink but even a day later the unit won't go. After charging, the batteries measure about 26/20V and 0/16V. After only 18 years they've failed - what a disappointment! Before spending $$$ to rebuild my NiMH batteries, I'd like to ensure that the rest of this Segway is ok. Is anyone near Oceanside CA (San Diego County, Orange County) willing to let me swap working NiMH batteries into my machine for a few minutes - to test functionality? I'll drive to you and do the test on the spot. ?? |

Your 2020 HT
The most likely failed components is one or both battery packs, and/or the CSB (Control Shaft Base which contains the internal battery charger).
A friendly Gen 1 owner (with NiMH) would be able to help you test these parts. A plug-into-the-wall "Power Meter" that measures Volts/Amps/Watts passing through it to the appliance (ie The Segway HT) is also very helpful. Philip
