Default Segway info key repair

I had an info key with a less than responsive power button. Took too much pressure and time to start and shut down the Segway. I have taken the key apart, and a very tiny brass looking spring fell out. I have no idea where it goes. After re assembly, none of the buttons work. They all have a good click to them, so I think this spring is the factor. Does anyone know where this spring should go?

Does the display show up? If not, suspect a connection to the battery.

screen comes up and has a brand new battery. I put the board from this problem key into a blank key and it works perfectly, even without the spring. the blank board in the old casing is giving me the same no response from the buttons

Problem solved. The spring is for electrical connection between the metal ring all the buttons are attached to and the circuit board. There is a tiny hole in the top of the screen rim that is goes into. It needed to be stretched out to ensure a good connection, it must have gotten compressed over time.

I would love to know more about this as I have an infokey that requires a huge amount of pressure.

In the past I have taken the infokey apart and bent the metal from inside. Are you saying there is a hole somewhere on the infokey?

im thinking you might have the flat leaf spring? not coiled in any way on mine it goes where the edge of the button battery goes= rests
mine seems to center the battery while transferring contact from case to battery it goes in edge up near the power buttoon second thought it may be the contact for the power button?to the edge of the battery

Default What is the Torx / ScrewDrive / Allen . . .

What is the Torx / ScrewDrive / Allen that fits the new InfoKeys. My are mostly from 2006 and it was just a normal Phillips. The newer one I purchased seems to have a different screw that I have, so far, been unable to match.

Thanks, P.
