Dean Kamen has been this years receipient of the 2006 Innovator of the Year Award by R&D Magazine. There is a nice 4 page story about him and his inventions, including the I-Bot,Segway, Hydroflex Irrigation pump, Balloon Expandable Stent, Slingshot water vapor Distillation system and his Stirling cycle-based 1-kW electric generator, not to mention his F.I.R.S.T. program.
