A bigger problem would be shipping the batteries without the platform, I think?

Somewhere on here, MTOBATTERIES has posted about the hazmat requirements. You want to get it right and legal.

If my recollection is correct, it's simpler with the platform than separate.

Obviously, we can't have infinite voltage, or the universe would tear itself to shreds, and we wouldn't be discussing Segways.

If I put two batteries in a flat rate box connected to the "device" of which is the off board charger, it should be good to go.

I have looked, and it would cost me $200 for each Segway that I ship, which using simplified mathematics adds up to $400 for two segways.

I do not think it is worth it to spend $400 to ship segways for a small scale event, so hopefully I can find another way to bring them up.

I hate to say this, but two guys, one in Massachusetts, and the other on the opposite coast, do not an event make. Consider that one guy wants to fly into a weekend camping trip, the event seems less than entirely likely.

Unless more people express and interest in a camping trip in New England this summer, it may be best to consider another time or place.

I am open to suggestions.

That might work easier...
