Default Mini Pro Drifts left

Hello There,

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I have had the Mini for a month and finally got some clear dry weather to do a long test run.

I was riding on smooth pavement and noticed that if I was riding in a straight line with no contact on the steering bar, the Mini would drift left across the road and I find I constantly have to give the bar a nudge right to compensate.

I checked the tire pressure and both tires are exactly 40 lbs.

Checked all steering bar nuts and all are tight.

Any Input would be appreciated. Thx Tom

check if your wheel is well balanced by observing any rotational declination.

Default Be Afraid- be very afraid

This started happening on mine, then got worse, eventually repeatedly throwing me off my Ninebot and running in circles. Keep a very close eye on it, and if it gets worse, send it in for repair. Very dangerous. I know of another user who was hurt badly by this problem.

Take care and observe where you stand on the platform.

If your weight is off-center to the left, you will slightly compress the left tire more, and yield a smaller rolling radius on the left wheel.
Thus you will veer left.

Shift your weight a bit, shuffle a bit away from the direction you are veering.

Same deal with the classic Segway.

Default That's how it starts... A little bit of drift

When this happens again, get off the Ninebot and let it just stay is one spot. If look carefully you may see that the steering bar is slightly to the side to which you were drifting. Then, turn it off and move the bar firmly in the other direction and force it just a bit. It will likely return to center and work normally for a while. It gets worse, and next thing you know, your on the ground bleeding.

They have outstanding support. They have repaired mine, but now I don't think I will ride it anymore, unless they send back a different unit. Too dangerous. There something wrong with the control bar position sensor (called a Hall Effect sensor, which uses a magnetic field to translate the movement of the bar into signals that can be read by the PCBA. The problem has to be there, as there are no other steering parts that move with the bar.
