Default XT won't power up...

I have an XT that I've enjoyed very much and have had absolutely no problems with it.

It has been stored for the last two months, plugged in, and indoors.

I went to power up today and when the key is applied, it beeps once and then nothing. The battery indicator displays intermitant green flashing, which I always thought was an appropiate display for fully charged batteries.

I removed the batteries (Li-ion) and checked the voltages; one is a 77.2 volts,

the other at 8 volts. Both are the same age... Is it possible to have one bad battery??

Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!

Hi,

77 Volts sounds ok, are you sure you measured 8 Volts on the other?...if so get them sent to MTO for a refurb...or try to revive the lower one yourself(READ ABOUT IT FIRST AS IT'S NOT WITHOUT RISK)

Hope this helps

Hi

Where are you located ?
Yes, what you describe sadly is a fairly common scenario.

"AHEM"...or other refurb companies...

In my defence there aren't many in the U.K....

My apologies and no offence intended.

If the 8 volts is a correct measurement, then yes, you've got a bad battery for sure and that's why it won't start
