New Features - Link Manager, Events Forum, etc.

Hi everyone,

We've got some new features here on SegwayChat that I'd like to tell you about.

LINKS MANAGER

First off, we have a new 'Links Section' where you can submit links to sites, resources, videos and other multimedia, reviews, news, etc. The section has categories and subcategories.. and it's entirely configurable by us. So if you have any suggestions about how best to organize our collection of links, please send me a note.

We're using this same system for our VIDEOS and BLOGS pages as well. As you come across new videos or blogs on the net, please submit the URL by clicking the 'Add Url' option on this page.

Features:
- Create/edit/delete Links)
- Add/edit/delete Links Categories and Subcategories
- Links added only when approved by admin*
- Links hit counter
- Search
- Links Rating & Commenting
- "New Links" feature
- "Top Rated" feature
- "Popular Links" feature
- "Random Links" feature

*Please note that Admin must review your submission before it will be publicly listed.


EVENTS FORUM

We have a new forum called 'EVENTS FORUM' - for the posting of ALL new events to appear on our events calendar.

While all new events should be posted there, this DOES NOT preclude you from cross-posting about the same event as a regular post in the appropriate discussion forum. So the purpose of this new events forum is simply to provide one place where all events can be listed and put on our events calendar. Check the 'Read Me!' for more information.

MY SUBSCRIPTIONS!

Did you know that you can subscribe to a thread you're interested in? And if someone replies when you're not around, you can be sent an email notification about activity in these threads? Well, it's easy to do. Open the thread you're interested in subscribing to. Look for the link that says, "Subscribe to this Topic" (located to the upper right of your screen, beneath where it says 'You are logged on as'). Click that link and you're done. You'll receive an email each time there is a new post in that thread.

If you want to see a list of threads you're subscribed to, or want to unsubscribe from them, simply view the 'My Subscriptions' link.
