This is sad news for me, I grew up loving those comics. And yes my fascination with that one wheeled thing the character rode around on is probably what stirred me to buy a Segway. I did like the wheel device... That was a classic.
However, my favorite was the clams with legs. I still share my knowledge of the secret legs of clams when I have the opportunity...

Did anyone ever find out if Johnny Hart ever did ride a segway? Perhaps in some way, his comic inspired segways??
