LiveChat
It appears this may be broken. I tried to go onto LiveChat and it tells me I need to be logged-in, but I am. Worked fine the several days ago.
Any idea what's up? |

Sorry, it was indeed broken for most folks due to a backend change. It should now be fixed. Let me know if you have any further problems, and my apologies.
John

Not working fer me!
Could not connect to forums.segwaychat.com:8080.
Possible reasons include: - The chat server system at forums.segwaychat.com is temporarily unavailable. - Your computer is behind a firewall or proxy server. Please ensure that your firewall permits outgoing TCP connections to forums.segwaychat.com on port 8080. |

Firewall, Proxy Server, VPN
These types of connections can cause problems with LiveChat. For instance, my VPN connection needs to be terminated before I can get on to LiveChat. Then it works fine with a standard internet connection.

Hi Mike,
This is indeed a different issue related to either the version of Java on your computer, or your firewall settings (either on your computer or at the router, not allowing port 8080 through). In most cases, updating or ensuring that Java is working in your web browser and is of relatively recent vintage (within the past 2 years or so), fixes this issue. John
