the PGA loves the Segway

Hi Folks:
Went to see the PGA play at Aronimink (outside of Philly PA) yesterday and it could not have gone any better. They were wonderful! I have an I2 with the Segsaddle, I never could have gone without the Seg. I looked on their web page and they had a special needs accomodations section with their policies.

I sent in their form with a copy of my handicap placard about a month prior to the event. They gave us a parking pass at the closest location and they had the big buses with the hydraulic lifts for wheelchairs. I just rode on, they dropped me right off at the gate ( no waiting at all for anything) and I had total access to anywhere I wanted. They could not have been nicer or more encouraging ! Many people were begging me for rides...


The entire event was fantastically organized, I had no issues at all, and I had some good practice using the Seg in the middle of huge crowds. I just parked it next to a tree on the fairway or near a grandstand, and nobody bothered it at all. Many people came to ask about it, the police stopped by and asked my advice as they want to get them for their people, it was a big hit. Don't hestitate to try a PGA event, they go way out of their way to make sure you have all you need. Tiger Woods was there and he draws some incredible crowds. It was a big thing as the tour seldom comes east coast, so it really drew the crowds, but I couldn't ask for a better day.
