Default How was the tour?

I'd like to point to a thread I started over in the Rentals & Tours section. If you've taken a Segway tour, which one was it, and how did you like it?

My reasons are selfish - I had a great time on the Snow Canyon, UT tour, and I'd like to try some others that come highly recommended.

A year ago at the end of February, my wife and I segged in Paris just after a light snow. It was outstanding. You go by the Eiffel Tower and several landmarks. Segway Tours of Paris which also runs Fat Tire Bicycle Rentals is the operator. It is run by a young couple from Texas.

Default Segway Tour Companies are everywhere these days

Go to any major city, and there is a Segway Tour Company. Some are run by dealers, but many are run by independant business people.

Here in Washington, this year we have five tour operators, and all are at capacity. So there is plenty of interest in this business.

I have give tours to friends, who travel to other cities, as a gift and they come back with great stories of what they got to do.

Segway Tours make seeing a new place, or even an old one, something special.

I would highly recommend the San Francisco tour:
http://www.sfelectrictour.com/

Bay Area SEG got a deal on this since we had our own machines. There were some reservations regarding paying to get a tour of our own backyard. But it was totally worth it! The tour guide was enthusiastic, friendly, and taught us some things about our own city that we didn't know.
The company has branched off to Sausalito, across the bay. I plan on going on that tour as well, before the summer's over.

Yah, I posted a runover, as many folks do, since this category has a lot more readers. Oh well, better here than nowhere. Have at it, and let the moderator decide!
