Hello my friends, if this isn't the nicest looking clone you've seen, you must be blind!

Clone or copy?? right down to the kick stand! There is a fender change, though. Is the packaging shown identical as well? I also noticed that they did not include disability in their suggested uses...

Very interesting.
If you watch the video on their website (which looks like a US marketing piece rather than a CN marketing piece), it looks like the machine moves a lot like a Segway. http://www.windrunner.com.cn/company.asp It's quite possible that they've taken the time to recreate self-balancing algorithms, safety systems, etc. But the photos and videos are so creepily similar to real Segways and these machines are from China: it makes me wonder if someone has taken apart the Segway's microcontrollers and manually cloned the protected firmware. I'm looking forward to future Segway products, personally. The i2 is still the best thing out there in personal transport, IMHO, but I'm curious what new ideas the self-balancing gurus at Segway have been working on these last few years Chris |

I am impressed with the jogging body guards to the X model.
According to the specs page, the Urban model (i) has twin 1000 watt motors, and the X model has twin 1200 watt motors. Interesting. It does do an uncanny job of imitating the segway. I am curious, but not too excited. It copies that which has been on the market for 7 years. I would like to see the new ideas. I don't need a copy of what I have had in my cellar since 2006. I want a reason to get in trouble with the wife when I bring it home. And I am not speaking of the body guards.
