X2 non starter (Midlands UK)
Hello, I bought an x2 at auction, no keys, but like new, nipples on the tyres, no rub marks on the batteries, no wear under the mats. the batteries were sent away and tested and found to be non revivable so I ordered and fitted new cell packs to the old cases.( showing 76v across 2 main pins) I purchased a key and had it programmed with the serial number of the machine. The dam thing still won?t start. When I press the key I get the transmit symbol in the key but nothing on the machine. When plugged in 2 red lights on the machine. I figure the charge unit is maybe duff? Any ideas? Many thanks Laney.

Bad circuit boards. Most of them can?t be re used and actually work at all or long term. Eventually they delaminate or components go bad on them, especially if the cells have corroded inside. Options are to try and find replacement boards or replacement batteries.

Should the machine start without any batteries installed but plugged into the mains? Because it doesn?t even do that?

With good batteries attached it will either start up OK, give an error code (that we can help you with), begin to start but give no error code, or give no response/reaction at all. All of these possibilities reveal useful information. But you've got you've got to start with a pair of known-good packs. It sounds to me as if your repacked packs don't work, possibly due to dead/bad BMS boards. Regards Philip
