I have a brand new Ninebot ES2 version 1.3, I took it for the first drive today and it's amazing, but every time I try to turn on the headlight, it engages the brakes and kills power - any ideas?

Known issue, faulty controller board. You should try to send it in to segway for repair under warranty, they should cover all shipping costs. If it is out of warranty you can try to replace yourself. Look for ES2 controller boards on Ebay and watch a youtube video how to replace it. It's not easy, but doesnt look too bad either.

Other solution is to just ignore it and buy an external headlight and attach to the handlebars, this is probably much safer anyway as they are much brighter than the build in headlight.

You can also solder a resistance inside the motherboard and it will work. If someone live in sweden I can help. If not watch on internet for that solution.
