What it's like to be a Segway...
There's a new thread: What it's like to be a Segway Dealer?
I thought that was interesting. Then I started wondering, what is it like to be a Segway? Have Segways ever spoken back here? What would Eeyore say? What would Herbie say? What would Max say? What would "E" say? (Is "E" jealous of "I2"?) What would a "DRAFT" Segway carrying a vet say? Last edited by Worm; 03-25-2007 at 10:24 AM.. |

When Kyvago hears the skatepark kids call his name he thinks "Not on your GLIDING life!" and speeds me through there.
I know it's a he because sometimes he sings: I was a Segway man Along the bikepaths I did glide Mace and lawbook by my side... |

Herbie Says...
When people ask "What is that thing?", I can imagine Herbie telling curious pedestrians if he could, "I'm a Segway: The Macintosh for Motion."
But Herbie would also say on a hot, crowded day at the Venice Boardwalk, "You meat-bags make me go slow and I hate you all!" Oh, and "I want my freakin' KICKSTAND!" at any given moment but especially when parking or his owner is trying to use the Leansteer lock... SEGsby |

E can hold it's own. E has better shoes, and is a more utilitarian seg, i2 is the new kid. Still making silly mistakes, like all youngsters... (Like yesterday, when it was parked against a fence post, no parking stand, ya know..., and it turned 180 degrees and drove into a snowbank, and broke the tongue of the trailer it was towing when it fell over...)
E don't do that... E just stands there and waits, like a buddy...

Onward!
Eeyore says, "Hmmm...looks like rain today." Well, that is unless we're heading out for polo!

Three things I heard Ginger say recently:
"When people yell, 'GET A BIKE', are they talking about those contraptions we pass on the boradwalk all the time?" "I don't mind being orange and blue, but if the Mets don't win big this year, people will have something else to yell at us" "Could you get another comfort pad? Since you gained 10 pounds, my head is killing me." Tim |

I don't know exactly what my two segs would call themselves, but I do know that they would not associate themselves with being an apple computer, or a macintosh for that matter...
