New Guy from Sacramento
Hi everybody,
I don't own a Segway personally but the company I work for does. I work for Target and we have a Segway i2 Police with almost 1,200 miles on it. Target is currently testing the Segway for our Assets Protection Department. As a result of seeing our Segway local Police Departments are showing interest. It's a great tool and I have fun with it everytime I'm on it. |

Hi there, welcome to the club!
We're glad you're here. When we got wind of Target's large purchase, I know that many of us were curious about both what Target had in mind, as well as how things are going? Please do share your experiences, and whatever information you can share. As always, these forums are a two way street, and we can provide information for you as well. Cheers! -Sal

Target Segway
Sal-
Thanks for the welcome! My location has had our Segway for almost 10 months. So far it has been not only a way for my team to do our job but it has also been a 'center piece' for public relations. Our Guests love it and have been full of questions and offers. I (personally) have been asked if Target allows non team members to ride it. I even have been offered $100 to an opportunity to drive a fire truck. I love police equipment so our Segway has been equipped with a 2-Way radio, First Aid Kit and it also has other equipment. It's a great tool. As soon as I get back to work- I will take some photos. |
