Default ES2 speed problem

Hey all

So, I have an ES2 and after about a 1000 km weird things started to happen. The headlight issue, but I got around that and now some limiter issue appeared after I got a bump at high speed. It was kinda rough, the metal sound when the front spring doesn't have enough move appeared also, but generally I'm not the gentlest of people and that sound happened many times before with no issues.
But now, i could immediately feel the loss of power right after the bump and the scooter just barely goes 20km/h now.

Should I take it to the shop or try myself. I loathe taking it somewhere and be without it, I've gotten really used to my work commute in the last 3 months that I have it.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum.

I can read that you enjoy your ES2 because of your hesitation to be without it for even a few days while it is in the shop.

I try to fix everything myself. I always have. I figure that if one man can conceive of the product or contraption, then design it, build it, and when it breaks that another man can repair it, then I should be able to learn how to fix it too...

My limitations, when there are specialty tools required or computer equipment with proprietary software that I do not have access to.

WD-40 and Duct Tape... If it moves and it is not supposed to move, then apply duct tape. If it doesn't move and it is supposed to, then WD-40 lubricant oil.

It sounds like perhaps you may have friction in the front wheel perhaps. Does it move freely? Can you see something that maybe has shifted to rub against the wheels?

Please let us know what you find and how you fix it. Even if you suffer through sending your scoot to the SegWay NineBot Hospital for a few days. I'd love to hear what you find.

Cheers!
