Tarkus, Now we know why your are selling your spare tires
So Alan and his scooter can get out there!
If Jerry gives as moving a speech to that crowd as he did during the SegwayfesT week last year, it should be a good one.

As you know these events always put a dent in the pocket book but I love the cause. The main reason I'm selling the tires is that I am "swimming in them" right now. With all the flight transfers I have coming up in the next month I'm sure to end up with more! My tires never see much action. I glide at walking speed and then some airline bust the rims before I have any time on them. Yes, Jerry is a fine speaker indeed. Hope to some some of you there. Be Big, Alan

So Alan, what do you do when they break one? Do you, just as a matter of course, carry an extra one or two (return trip) in your luggage?

I keep a couple at home and now have a friend who can overnight one if I can't find a dealer close that has one. I also know what dealers stock them so in a pinch I can have them send one. For instance, don't try to find anything Segway in the Caymans . There I got to use my old friend 'Mr. Wheelchair" for anything of distance. Be Big, Alan

It's the law. They have also treated me well after the damage and worked hard to do all they could to mitigate my imposition. American-2 flights/2 claims US Air-1 flight/1 claim Continental-2 flights/ 1 claim All took care of things fast but thats a bad batting average. Southwest. I have flown over 200 segments with them and never a dent, knock on wood. They are always my first choice. Be Big, Alan
