EXCEPT its 230 years!! I went to a reunion yesterday. There were 110 present, with about of that number being wives . Still a few of us alive from WW II too. Semper Fi

What kind of Former Active Marine am I...Said 130 when all the time I knw its 230...Had the drill given to me at Parris Island in 1951...ya I know all about those guys in the BackRoom of Tuns Tavern..That started the Continnental Marines .so they could go Kick some Butt..Murray when were you in? I was '51 to '54 in Korea/ 81mm morters Forward Team.with "A" company 1st Bat-1st Reg.1st Div.

HI Bill. What a nice surprise to get your note. I hate to tellyou this but technicallly I was USNavy during WW II !! I was in Amphib Intelligence copying Japanese Katakana code from a Submarine sitting on the bottom, with an antenna shot up to the surface! We were told at Pearl that we were ATTACHED to the Fifth Marines who went in on Iwo Jima and I was also involved at the Okinawa landing. I am not sure what that Attached meant, but FWIW. I am 84.
