Wink Endurance ?

I went for a bimble on my new X2 this evening. I took my hand-held satnav device with me to provide accurate records. Starting with a fully charged battery (8/8), I travelled 6.5 miles through quiet country lanes and called at a friend's house having ony 3 bars left on the battery level guage (3/8). The country was moderately hilly and at my destination, I was up 300 feet higher than my start position. After a chat a coffee while the X2 received a short re-charge (about 45 minutes) I left this location with battery level at 6/8. I completed the return journey by exactly the same route and arrived home with battery level 1/8. My satnav told me I had covered 13.2 miles at an average of 9.6 miles per hour with a max speed of 16.2. Guess I had a following wind at some time ! How did I do ?

But what is a bimble?

What ever it is I want to do it! ;-)

And I went on a customer call today using my X2, and then afterwards I could not get the customer off the X2 - and this was not a Segway customer either!

And Cornwall is such wonderful country side - I envy you for gliding there!

That seems about right for an X series, you can increase your range by over pressuring your tires at the cost of ride quality. I've got mine up to 6 psi, 1.5 times the factory recommendation.

Hope you have a great time on that machine, I envy you!

Bimble = to wander around aimlessly, take a leisurely journey at a moderate pace. A quaint english colloquialism

Good to see another UK convert. Want to join the Social group here for UK users?

Angry Endurance

I will try 6 psi in the tyres and go for another bimble !
I guess the traction on rough ground will suffer as a consequence though.
With the soft tyres the X2 will climb very steep, uneven and muddy ground. Simply amazing. Only thing that caused a problem was wet wood ie fallen tree branches with bark rubbed off. I have the bruise to prove it.
