Mixed Feeling = = Additional Article
- - Soapbox - - IMHO it's sad and concerning to have the Segway name linked to these in-line scooters. Sad in that true Segway's had the market and lost it due to poor marketing and lack of a plan to lower product cost. Concerning as more cities will be placing usage limits on EPAMD's because of the sidewalk mess the in-line machines and riders are beginning to cause.- - End Soapbox - - This article talks about FORD's purchase and the direction of short distance ' last mile' transportation " . . . <Ford> wants to take advantage of the significant pool of people who travel short distances. Almost 46 percent of Americans' vehicle trips are 3 miles or less, . . ." That's real Segway sweet spot https://www.npr.org/2018/11/16/66818...ooter-business 11,600+ i2 Miles |
